A couple of weeks ago me and Eoghan set off from Connemara to Achill, with a few stops along the way. Wanted to share some of the photos, so here they are :
We stopped in Connemara a couple of times to admire the view. I am so happy to be able to say I live in Connemara now. If someone had told me two years ago I’d be living here, I’d never have believed em!
A quick stop off in Westport for food. We had the nicest lunch sat outside in the sun. Then had a stroll around the town before heading on our way again. Eoghan got plenty of portrait practice!
Then it was straight on until Achill. We followed the Wild Atlantic Way route mostly.
Came across this magical underwater mural in the middle of nowhere. I want my bedroom walls to look like this!!

We were advised to visit Keem Bay so we aimed to be around there for sunset. There is a big hill you can climb with the remains of an old Watch House at Moyteoge Head. The hike up nearly killed me, but was so worth it for the views – I highly recommend taking the trek up! I know Ireland is known for its beautiful scenery, but it was really something!
The clouds started coming in just as the sun was beginning to set, but the sun bouncing off them was still beautiful.
We stopped for a quick shot shot in the watch house before heading down again. The view through the window as just spectacular!
Since moving to Galway we’ve had lots of recommendations of places we should go. We have been so grateful and have seen so many places we otherwise wouldn’t have known about. If anyone has any recommendations of scenic places or hikes around Galway and near Connemara please let me know!!
