The Magic Begins – Is The Warner Brothers Studio Tour Worth It?
Before I even stepped through the doors, I could feel the excitement in me, and I’d imagine it’s the same for any true Harry Potter fan. Just outside Watford train station, a Harry Potter Studio Tour will pick you up and bring you to the location and once you step foot on that bus, the magical experience begins. The studio tour includes iconic sets, magical creatures, and behind-the-scenes fun facts. From the Great Hall to Diagon Alley, every corner radiates the charm of J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world.
What to Expect on the Harry Potter Studio Tour
The tour starts with a short video in a cinema-like room and then you walk through the doors to the most iconic room in the series – the Great Hall. At this part of the tour there is a tour guide who gives information on how the room was created and facts from filming. From there, you walk through to the rest of the tour which you can do entirely at your own pace. With so much information to read, sets to enjoy and screens to watch.
Give yourself a good 5+ hours here. I spent 5 hours and absolutely could have stayed longer as I rushed a bit towards the end.
The Butterbeer Dilemma: Is There Food?
Halfway around the tour there is a cafe area with food and drink, and you’ll absolutely need it after being on your feet for so long! Can you guess what they also sell? One word: Butterbeer. Is it worth the hype? Well, in my opinion, no!
As a fan of the books I always imagined this as a warm sweet drink but drinking this cold fizzy brew just wasn’t for me. I guess you’ll have to try it for yourself. .
