Did someone say food? Food is such a big part of travel, and sure, while I love the scenery on all my trips, I secretly look forward to trying new food the most. Kenmare in County Kerry, is somewhere with endless possibilities when it comes to eating, so let me share some of my favourite places to eat in Kenmare Town.

Cafes in Kenmare, Kerry:
Cafe Mocha – cute and affordable places to eat
What I love about this place: It’s super affordable. Sometimes when you’re spending most of your travel budget on excursions, tours and other attractions, you want to grab a meal that isn’t going to dig too deep into your bank balance. Well, Cafe Mocha is a great place for an affordable and filling breakfast before you hit the road.
Coffee Shops:
Maison Gourmet – French run family business in Kenmare
I love this spot. Firstly, it’s absolutely gorgeous from the outside. Sitting outside Maison Gourmet under an umbrella sipping a hot drink while savouring a pastry, it’s just divine! As well as some pre-prepared food options such as paninis, there is an array of delicious sweet treats behind the counter. My favourite is the chocolate caramel tart.
Bean and Batch – waffles, hot drinks, sweet treats
Another one that looks very cute and inviting from the outside. Not only can you grab your morning coffee, they serve waffles, baked goods and if you’re trying to be healthy, there’s even prepared overnight oats.

The Best Breakfast in Kenmare
Davitts
Lot’s to choose from on the menu and it’s affordable. Grab a seat outside if you can – there’s an overhang so you’re safe from the rain.
Poffs
A small little cafe but the food is great, I always go for the eggs benedict. My sister got the pancakes and they looked incredible! You can also grab a table outside, but there’s only a couple.
Cafe Mocha
Very affordable breakfast spot!
Rookery Lane
This place is just fab, and is a great place for brunch. The food is very “different” and “healthy” with things like a Buddha Bowl and Pina Colada Power Bowl on offer. Rookery Lane is a must-visit on your trip to Kenmare!

If you’re looking for pub food in Kenmare, you won’t be short of options.
The Brew House
The Brew House is just off the park in the centre of town and it’s a great place to go grab a big lunch. It’s got a lovely interior and booths along the wall across from the bar so it’s a nice private place to get a meal.
There are great options to choose from, I struggled to pick just one thing!
O’Donnobhans – comfort food in Kenmare, Kerry
I LOVE a hearty pub dinner. After a long day of adventuring there is just nothing better than sitting back in the pub, ordering a warm comforting Irish meal and putting yourself in a food coma… right? I’ve had the beef stew and it’s just 10/10
Boxed – Delicious Pizza in Kenmare

Kenmare Ice Cream
Can’t skip dessert. Kenmare Ice cream has a flavour for everyone and the delicious ice cream is made right there in Kenmare.
