One of the absolute best things about going away is the food, would you agree? Well then, you will LOVE Wexford. Recently I visited the county to do a bit of exploring. I walked through the charming streets of Wexford town, soaked in the beauty of its beaches, coastlines, and castle ruins, and, most importantly, I tried out some truly incredible food. I think I definitely found the Best Restaurants in Wexford!
Food is love, food is life, right?
Every single day, sitting down in a restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal was the perfect way to end an adventurous day out. Whether it was exploring the golden sands of Curracloe Beach or wandering through Hook Peninsula, the food in Wexford was the cherry on top.
So, here’s a list of the delicious food spots I visited on my trip. If you’re wondering where to eat in Wexford, let me tell you—these places are unmissable.

@tinyboots_travels I ate sooooo much good food in Wexford!! my all time fav was Karoo Farmshop & Cafe – I already want to return! Grálinn was another one that stood out, the perfect place to go after a dip! The Trough has the most gorgeous brunch Crown Bar – I tried mac and cheese carbonara, I didn’t know this existed! Karoo Farm Shop and Cafe – Wexford South East
This was my absolute favourite meal in Wexford and honestly one of the most memorable meals I’ve eaten out EVER. The café is attached to a farm shop selling high-quality fresh produce and artisan goodies—naturally, everything tasted so fresh.
The owner is from Cape Town, and Karoo is named after the location in South Africa. Both he and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
I went for the Roast Veg Focaccia and Broccoli Soup, and honestly? It was CLASS! My friend got the Beef Brisket and said it was to die for!
I already have a list of things I want to try on my next visit—yes, it’s that good. I also spent way too long wandering through the farm shop and couldn’t resist bringing a few treats home. It’s such a great spot!

Karoo Wexford Menu – Best Restaurants in Wexford
GráLinn – Fethard on Sea
GráLinn has a few locations in Wexford, but I visited the one in Fethard on Sea. The vibe was minimal and cosy—exactly what you’d want after a morning dip at Baginbun Beach.
The menu is small (just five options), but every dish delivers. I got the Spring Bean Hotpot, which was so hearty and full of flavour—a proper hug in a bowl. My friend went for the French Toast with blood orange marmalade, honey mascarpone, and pistachios. You best believe I tried it and wow… it was absolutely divine.

The Trough Restaurant – Best Restaurant in Wexford for Brunch
This was another standout spot for me. I popped in for brunch, and the menu made it so difficult to choose just one item! Everything looked amazing, but I finally settled on the Breakfast Chickpea Hash. It was packed with flavour and left me planning a return trip just to try more of the options. It kept me full right up until dinner time.

Crown Bar – Restaurant in Wexford Town Centre
The Crown Bar looks so snazzy from the outside, and the inside didn’t disappoint either. The menu had a load of great options, so I couldn’t resist going for a full three-course meal.
To start, I had the nachos, followed by a mac and cheese carbonara (yes, that’s a thing – but I didn’t know either!), and finished with a honeycomb rocky road for dessert. I was so full by the end that I practically had to be rolled out the door!
My friend went for the chicken burger as their main, and they were just as happy with their choice.

Oyster Lane Restaurant – The Talbot Hotel
On our first night in Wexford, we decided to grab dinner at the hotel restaurant, and it was such a good decision. The menu was packed with tempting options, but I finally settled on the Brie Spring Roll as a starter and the Chicken Supreme with Roast Veg Sauce for my main. It was so good I cleared my plate completely—no room for dessert this time!

Ballast Bank Bar – Wexford Town Cocktails
I didn’t eat at Ballast Bank Bar, but I couldn’t resist sampling a couple of their cocktails. The Cosmopolitan and Espresso Martini were both absolutely fab—a great spot for a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap.

What I learned on my trip is that Wexford really does have it all—stunning beaches, charming towns, and, of course, the food.
